The Role of a School-Based BCBA in Missouri

Board Certified Behavior Analysts at Compass Therapy Solutions work in school-based settings to support students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs. BCBA responsibilities may include:

Placements are typically local to where clinicians live. When travel is required based on district needs, Compass Therapy Solutions provides a travel stipend. Virtual placements are used only when an in-person provider cannot be located, ensuring continuity of behavioral services for schools and students.

  • Conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs)
  • Developing and implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Collecting and analyzing behavioral data to guide intervention decisions
  • Supporting positive behavior supports within classrooms
  • Consulting with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Supervising behavior interventionists or support staff when applicable
  • Participating in IEP meetings and required documentation
  • Delivering services in alignment with district, state, and federal guidelines

Compensation and BCBA Salary Information

Compass Therapy Solutions offers competitive and transparent compensation for Board Certified Behavior Analysts, aligned with school-based compensation standards across Missouri.

 Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA): $75.00 per hour 

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): $30.00/hour

Rates vary based on placement, role, and district requirements.
 This is an average rate and not a guarantee.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • Eligibility: Available after 12 months of full-time employment (32+ hours/week)
  • Annual Allotment: 42 hours per year
  • PTO does not roll over and is not eligible for cash-out
